Saturday Sips: Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves

1.5 oz Red River Bourbon
.25 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1.5 teaspoons apricot jam
4 sage leaves
Tonic (approx. 2oz)

Combine the Red River Bourbon, lemon juice, jam and 3 bruised sage leaves in a cocktail shaker.  Shake for 10 seconds.  Fill the shaker halfway with ice and shake for 15 seconds.  Strain into a cocktail glass and top off with tonic to taste.  Serve garnished with a sage leaf.

Yields 1 cocktail
